Cagnazzi Racing was formed with the goal of delivering race wins and championships through the utilization of cutting edge technology and proven methods.
The charter of Cagnazzi Racing is defined by two key elements:
  1. Racing competitively in the split-second world of NHRA drag racing
  2. Helping its partners reach business objectives and success through professional program management and high-level access to America’s fastest and most exciting form of motorsports.

Strategic Location: Race City, USA
Much as high-tech ventures are clustered around Silicon Valley, the best and brightest of motorsports have chosen, as Cagnazzi Racing did in 2003, to make Mooresville, NC their home.
With more than 75% of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Nationwide Series and Truck Series teams being located in the greater Mooresville area, the technical and engineering support and skills needed for success are easily found and accessible.
Plus, as a suburb of Charlotte, Mooresville is centrally located near key transportation corridors (I-77, I-85 and I-40) and US Airways' biggest hub airport. The area's personnel talent pool, technical resources and convenient location explain Mooresville's nickname, 'Race City USA'.
Our home, Lakeside Park, boasts more than 250,000 unique visitors per year -- mainly race fans visiting the Charlotte area who stop by to visit race teams.  Our location provides our sponsors a first-class consumer showcase for their products, and product and brand exposure to an enthusiastic local and transient fan base. We believe it's the most efficient and sponsor-hospitable shop and headquarters in the NHRA.
This is unlike many other NHRA teams, most of which are either situated in Indianapolis, Indiana, or scattered throughout the US, with facility locations providing no strategic advantages. For a drag racing team like Cagnazzi Racing, being located in the heart of NASCAR offers significant competitive advantages.
Unique Drag Strip Availability
Cagnazzi Racing’s strategic position in North Carolina provides competitive advantages.
Management has successfully negotiated an exclusive (to Pro Stock) arrangement with a regional strip owner on highly advantageous terms. The moderate climate affords the ability to track test locally almost the entire year and at a highly competitive cost. On the occasion when the weather prevents the Company from local track testing, it can test in South Georgia or Florida, both less than a 10 hour drive and a one hour flight for the team. In contrast, it is virtually impossible to test locally in Indianapolis from mid-October to mid-March, and the cost, both in terms of dollars spent and time away from the shop, to travel to a test track in south Georgia or Florida is significantly higher for an Indianapolis-based race team.
Unique Supply Chain Relationships
The racing-dedicated Mooresville vendor base offers Cagnazzi Racing the most expedient and state-of-the-art supply chain. Several of the most significant racing suppliers, of racing related products and services, are either headquartered in the area or maintain local staff and inventory. The proximity of these suppliers to the Company’s facility helps it stay ahead of its competition located in other parts of the country. The Company enjoys regular face-to-face meetings with its most important vendor partners and is therefore able to develop, nurture and maintain unique partnership relationships often leading to exclusive use of cutting-edge technology.
