Coughlin Sets Track Record, Advances to Semifinals at Houston

BAYTOWN, Texas, April 1, 2007 - Bravo! Brands Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BRVO): Jeg Coughlin had his finest performance of the early NHRA POWERade Series season in the O'Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park, but it didn't end in the winner's circle where he wanted to be. 7pm12.JPG (85728 bytes)

A slight wiggle from the Slammers Ultimate Milk Chevy Cobalt in the semifinals Sunday cost him the win light against eventual race winner Jason Line. Coughlin had a huge advantage off the starting line (.019-second to .059) but Line persevered in 6.682 seconds at 207.98 mph to 6.760 at 206.51.

Coughlin set the track record of 6.649 seconds in qualifying to capture his first No. 1 starting position for Victor Cagnazzi Racing. It was the ninth of his career.

"We had the second-quickest time in the first and second rounds and I thought we had a good shot at getting my car and (teammate) Dave Connolly's TORCO Slammers Ultimate Milk Cobalt into the final round. We had excessive tire speed just off the starting line and that definitely poked a hole in our balloon. But we know we have a real competitive car."

The impressive performance lifted Coughlin into fourth place in points with 217.

Connolly lost to Allen Johnson in the semifinals.

The team's next outing is at Las Vegas, April 13-15.
