Coughlin Winds Up Eighth in Gatornationals Pro Stock Line-up

GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 17, 2007 - Bravo! Brands Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BRVO): Ideal conditions for quick elapsed times and fast speeds showed up at Gainesville Raceway for Saturday's final rounds of qualifying for Sunday's ACDelco Nationals but a parts failure prevented Jeg Coughlin from taking full advantage of it. 7pm12.JPG (85728 bytes)

Coughlin did record career bests in elapsed time (6.601 seconds) and speed (209.43 mph) in a quick side-by-side run with teammate Dave Connolly (6.600 at 209.72 mph) and will start from the eighth position. Coughlin was Friday's pacesetter at 6.632 seconds.

"We knew conditions would be better Saturday and felt like we should run 6.54 or 6.55 (seconds)" in the first session, "but we missed the setup and ran the 6.60," said Coughlin. "That was respectable but not what we had in mind."

The Delaware, Ohio-based veteran still had one more attempt, but a broken wheelie bar forced Coughlin to shut off the engine before he could make the run.

"We felt we could run in the mid-6.50s, but the right wheelie bar broke at the top and we didn't have an option due to safety reasons. I hated to shut off the engine when we had an opportunity to run in the 6.50s."

Cool weather is predicted again Sunday morning, giving Coughlin an opportunity to improve his career-bests. He meets Allen Johnson (No. 9, 6.605, 208.84 mph) in the first round.
